About the Blue Lagoon

What is the Blue Lagoon near Split

The Blue Lagoon is a shallow bay protected by three small islets between Drvenik Veli and Krknjaši.

The sea floor is white sand, which turns the water a clear turquoise on sunny days. It is one of the closest swim spots to Split and Trogir, which makes it the ideal half day escape if you do not want to commit to a full day at sea.
Why book from Trogir?

Why visit the Blue Lagoon

Calm and family friendly

Sheltered water, no waves, a sandy bottom you can stand on. The most popular tour for travellers with
small children.

Best snorkelling near Split

Visibility is regularly over fifteen metres. Schools of fish around the rocks, and on lucky days a quick glimpse of
an octopus.

Half day flexibility

Five hours total, so you keep most of the day for the old town, lunch and the afternoon ferry to your
apartment.

Getting there

How to get to the Blue Lagoon from Split or Trogir

The Blue Lagoon is roughly thirty minutes by speedboat from Split and twenty minutes from Trogir. Public ferries do not call at the lagoon, so a boat tour is the only way to reach it. Our tours include the bay entry, snorkelling equipment and water on board, and we plan the timing to arrive before the larger group boats. Most departures combine the lagoon with a stop on Šolta and Čiovo, so you experience three different islands in one half day.
