Itinerary

Split – Milna (island Brač) –town Hvar (island Hvar) – Pakleni Islands – Milna (island Hvar) – Split

There is a reason Hvar consistently ranks among Europe’s top island destinations, and one day on this private speedboat tour makes that reason obvious. Over 9 hours, you travel from Split or Trogir to three distinct stops along one of the Adriatic’s most rewarding coastlines: the quiet harbor of Milna on Brač, the historic town of Hvar, and the secluded coves of the Pakleni Islands. No shared boats, no fixed group schedule. Just your crew, a licensed local skipper who knows these waters, and a day shaped entirely around you.

This tour departs from the same marina as our other private boat tours from Split and private boat tours from Trogir, making it easy to combine with other days on the water if you have more time to explore the Dalmatian coast.

Milna, Brač

The first stop is Milna, one of the deepest natural harbors on Brač Island and a longtime waypoint for sailors crossing the Adriatic. Unlike Hvar or Split, Milna has no cruise ships and no souvenir crowds. A 17th-century Baroque church sits at the edge of the waterfront, the streets are narrow enough to feel genuinely old, and the pace is slow enough to actually notice it. It is a useful reminder of how coastal Dalmatia looks when it is not performing for visitors.

Hvar Town

Greek settlers from Paros founded Pharos on this island in the 4th century BC. Venetian rulers followed, and the fortifications they built still define the skyline today. The main square, Trg sv. Stjepana, is the largest cathedral square in Dalmatia. Above the town sits the Fortica, a fortress completed in the 1550s, where the view stretches across the full Pakleni archipelago and toward the open sea on both sides. Your skipper knows the quieter approach times, where to moor without the midday crowds, and which parts of the old town reward a longer walk. You will have enough time to explore the streets, have lunch, and still make it to the Pakleni coves in the afternoon.

Pakleni Islands

The name Pakleni does not come from “pakao” (hell), as many visitors assume. It comes from “paklina,” the pine resin historically harvested on these islands to seal wooden boat hulls. That same pine forest now shades a chain of small islands and coves just a few minutes from Hvar Town. The water here is exceptionally clear, with visibility of 15 to 20 meters on a calm day, which is exactly why snorkeling equipment is included in the tour price. Coves like Palmižana, Vinogradišće, and Stipanska each have a different character and exposure to wind. Your skipper selects the best option based on the conditions that day. Two SUP boards are on board for anyone who wants to explore from the water.

If you want to extend your time on the water on another day, our Blue Lagoon private tour covers a different part of the central Dalmatian coastline, and the Blue Cave tour takes you further south toward Vis and Biševo.

What Is Included

The price covers private speedboat transport with a licensed English-speaking skipper and guide, fuel, all port fees, national park fees, insurance, snorkeling equipment, two SUP boards, water and coffee on board, and use of the onboard shower and toilet. The boat accommodates up to 12 guests.

Food, personal expenses, optional entrance fees such as the Fortica, and gratuity are not included in the price.
